February Recap: Building Momentum

As the sun began to shine again over Málaga, the first signs of the new season started to appear, with seeds beginning to sprout and energy returning.

February carried a sense of gradual movement, as plans quietly take shape.

February started with visits to two unique clubs that reflect the diversity of Málaga’s cannabis scene. The month opened in Monda at Los Amigos Verde, a new space bringing its own character and energy, followed by time spent at The Alchemist, now evolving under new ownership as High Pickle.

Participation in the Malaguana Cup continued to grow. There are now seven unique and diverse clubs stocking the Cup seeds, spaces with an interest in the culture and the wider community of Málaga, coming together and showing why Málaga has the best cannabis community in Europe.

The Growers Cup exists to celebrate the skill, patience, and knowledge of growers in Málaga and across Europe, recognising the dedication behind the craft and showing that the quality produced here stands alongside the best anywhere in the world. While also giving the wider community to grow and compete and be part of the experience whatever the level.

Trophy development progressed as well. The silver trophy was completed, with refinements planned, and the bronze trophy entered the early stages of production.

The Festival is about bringing the community together: celebrating the plant, the people, the artists, the musicians, and the clubs that have invested time, energy, and resources into building spaces where culture can grow and be shared. Together, these moments highlight what makes Málaga’s cannabis community unique; connection, creativity, and a shared passion that continues to bring people together.

And everyone who gave their time this month — to those who responded, shared content, and supported participation in the Cup and Festival. Every conversation and show of support contributes to the strength and continuity of these projects foundations for the months ahead are set.

With March, efforts now to be focused on finalising the Freedom Festival and continuing preparations for the Cup, let’s grow together.
